Lisa Lewis, a native of Louisville, Kentucky and a 10th generation Kentuckian, has served as the Organist/Choirmaster at St. Luke's Episcopal Church since May 1984.  Ms. Lewis studied with Melvin Dickinson at the University of Louisville, earning both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Organ Performance.  Summer study in Germany with Harald Vogel (1978) gave the opportunity to practice and perform on historic instruments in Scharmbeck, Stade, Cappel, and Eenum, creating an intense interest in early music performance practices. Similar study in France (1988) resulted in recitals on the historic Clicquot organ in Souvingy and the Cavaille-Coll organ in Castelnaudery.  Ms. Lewis also studies independently with Dr. Roberta Gary to prepare for the delivery of St. Luke's new organ (2013) built by Martin Pasi.
