New Vestry Members Elected on January 22nd

On January 22, 2017 Calvary held it's Annual Parish Meeting.  At this meeting new Vestry members and Vestry Leadership were elected:

Will Cary is a life-long member of Calvary Episcopal Church and has served on the the Vestry three times, twice as Sr. Warden. loving everything about the Church and it's people, his main areas of contribution are in house and grounds, ushering, lighting and sound. 

Kristel Fitzgerald is VP of Special Projects for Goodwill Industries of Kentucky, Inc. has over 20 years’ experience in the nonprofit and human services industries, as well as work within several school systems and with severely emotionally disabled children.  Her interest in the Vestry is one of service, leadership, and love. believing that today’s church must focus on deliberate outreach and responsible stewardship.

Jamie Hendon, also a long-time member of Calvary, believes in serving the congregation of Calvary as a member of the Vestry as well as service participation, committee participation and supporting parish needs, have all become ways of maintaining and remaining connected to the long term core of our community.  Jamie's interests lie in assisting Calvary through transition, strengthening church leadership, and stewarding Calvary's assets.

Ruth Robbins started attending Calvary in 1996 has developed a deep and abiding love of her spiritual home.  Retired since 2000, she has worked in the mental health field.  Her vision for Calvary is centered around Music and Urban outreach but has also worked to ensure Calvary's property is well maintained and welcoming to all.

Larry Reining teaches chemistry and physical science at Spalding University in next door to Calvary.  He has served on Vestry before as well as being an Usher/Greeter, Lector and Choir Ministries.   in 2012, he completed the the Education for Ministry (EfM) course through the University of the South (Sewannee) and feels that Calvary best demonstrates the message of Gospel as this course teaches.
